Aster is one of the leading Companies that undertakes Turnkey as well as Task / scope oriented Projects for Transmission and sub-Transmission Lines in India. As an EPC Contractor, our scope of work broadly includes Design, Optimize and Detailing of Power Transmission routes, Towers Design, Detail, Test, Manufacture including Galvanization, and Foundation, Erection, Stringing, Testing and Commissioning of Transmission Lines.

Our capability

Design:

Aster TLC SBU has an in-house Design Team that undertakes designing of Transmission Towers as per the Customer requirements. The prototype towers are type tested in test beds like Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) for customers. Aster Design Team uses latest software, viz. PLS-Tower, iTOWERS Designer TL and STAAD.Pro for Designing and bocad-3D, AutoDesk Inventor and progeCAD for Detailing of tower. We also use project management tools for effective planning & review of projects along with ERP for material management, among other things.

Resources:

Aster has a vast pool of experienced professional at various levels to cater to the increasing demands of our customers. We also have a learning centre, which helps in transferring the knowledge across project teams. After completion of each project, the experiences are presented through documents and interactive sessions. Aster also trains underprivileged youth at its training academy for Power T&D sector. Every quarter new recruits joins the supervisory staff across the globe in our projects.

Our core strength also include our strong relationship with our sub-contractors & gangs. We are working with teams which are with us for past many projects. We make sure that we foster our sub vendors & gangs and help them grow along with us.

Equipment:

Aster has sufficient number of Tools & Plants (equipment) for executing its projects. We also invest periodically in new technologically advanced equipment for Power T&D sector. We now own 12 sets of Tension stringing equipment with capacity up to 160 kN.

Survey Expertise:

Aster has expertise in modern Survey and Tower Spotting works and uses the latest versions of PLS-CADD software. This helps our Customers to obtain options of the most optimal Transmission Line route. Survey with the help of state of art gadgets Total Stations, DGPS, Digital Theodolites and Satellite imagery is used for providing the most economical Transmission Line Profile to the Customers.

Projects Executed:

Aster has commissioned a large number of Transmission Lines upto 400 kV voltage level, for various Power utility companies. These lines are in successful use for the last few years. In all Aster has completed more than 550 km of 765 and 400 kV Lines & 450 km of lines below the voltage level of 400 kV.
